There are so many things we have control over, but our health, to a certain extent, is not really one of them. What we can do is honor our bodies. What would that look like? you might be thinking. I know I’ve said this before—we take care of our kiddos, our cars, our homes, and our businesses, yet some of us forget to include ourselves on that list.
I call this my “responsible” list. On the first of each year, I check all of the specialist doctors’ appointments: eyes, ears, heart, mammogram, prostate, dermatologist, bloodwork and anything else needed to make sure everything is in order, including the dentist for regular cleanings.
Another part of the responsible list involves checking credit cards, all the autopay bills and things like ensuring you’re getting the best interest rates so you can put money back in your pocket. Check your bills, including insurance and car payments, to see if there are any better deals that you can be a part of and save money or get more value for your money. Check your interest rates on your home, cars and any items purchased with credit. The beginning of the year is really just a great time to take inventory of all you do to start your year on the brighter side of life and be savvy of everything you have going on regarding your health and wealth.
Wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous new year!
