Make Time for Some Time Out

I was out on a bike ride going up north. We stopped at Muscle Beach to have lunch and just take in the day. We had a beautiful table facing the ocean, and it was the most incredible day also. There was this one turquoise chair sitting all alone, overlooking the ocean. I was so drawn to this chair. After I ordered my lunch, I went and sat in it; it was breathtaking. It was so relaxing, and in just a few minutes replenished my cup. I took a moment to take in the scenery and thought about how many things I have to be grateful for.

I love finding things throughout the day that help heal me from the inside out. When my husband and I wake up every morning, we start our day in a positive way by being thankful for all the wonderful things in our life—we actually take turns saying them out loud. It’s such a great practice! Today, I went into my living room and just sat on a rocking chair and took a break from my work.

Sometimes I will go into my back or front yard and just sit and stop my activity to take some time out. Look around your home or really anywhere, and just learn to take some valuable time out. Most of us are running on the endless clock. I really want to encourage you to take a few moments to take some time out to restart and recharge yourself.

Ahhhh!! Enjoy your surroundings and take a moment to close your eyes and look inside and be grateful for everything you already have.
