Sacrament invites neighbors across Chevy Chase and Northwest DC to the annual BS Fun

Fest on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Parish Center, 3630

Quesada Street NW. Part treasure hunt, part holiday market and part neighborhood

reunion, the festival packs a full morning of shopping, food and family fun into one block,

and every dollar spent goes back into the community.

Shopping That Gives Back

The fest is built on a simple, generous formula. Half of the proceeds fund a parish

improvement project chosen with the pastor; a recent bathroom renovation was paid for

this way. The other half supports local organizations doing essential work across the

region: SOME (So Others Might Eat), the Washington School for Girls, the Greater DC

Diaper Bank and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington.

Designer and Vintage Finds

Seasoned shoppers know to head first to the Chic Boutique & Elegant Elephant, a hand-

picked collection of high-end and vintage fashion, accessories and home goods in

excellent condition. Past donations have included labels shoppers rarely see at a parish

sale, from Burberry and Tory Burch to Manolo Blahnik and fine jewelry.

For everyday bargains, the Used Clothing & Home Goods Market fills the room with

affordable apparel for the whole family, plus shoes, purses, kitchenware, toys, games and

sporting goods.

Local Makers and Holiday Gifts

The fest doubles as an early start on holiday shopping. A lineup of local artisans and small

businesses will offer crafts, gifts and gourmet goods, including Wilson Boland Design, Pink

Dot Styles, moorlow, LissaGail, LZCstyle, byCoriale, Milestones Antiques & Vintage, Sonya

Flanagan Vintage, Apricot Lane, SweetDaisy Home, TeeCee's Boutique, Sigrid Jewelry

Collection, Twain + Abel Studio, Yoya Coffee, Janlitlfeather Gourmet and more.

Food, Treats and Fun for Kids

Breakfast and lunch are covered at the food pavilion, with Shipley Donuts, Panera Bread

and Chick-fil-A on site. The bake sale brings back three parish favorites worth stocking up

on before the holidays: the signature Bloody Mary mix, spiced pecans and hot pepper

jelly. Homemade baked goods can be enjoyed on the spot or frozen for holiday

entertaining.

Families can settle in at the Kids Fun Zone, which runs games and creative activities all

day, while the much-loved Raffle Baskets return for guests who want to try their luck for a

good cause.

How to Donate Before the Fest

The sale depends on community donations, and the Sodality is collecting gently used

items Tuesday, October 20 through Thursday, October 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at

the Parish Center, 3630 Quesada Street NW.

Welcome: clean, gently used clothing in all sizes and seasons; paired shoes; handbags,

belts, scarves and jewelry; formal and holiday wear; local school spirit wear; and home

items such as cookware, dish sets, décor and working small appliances.

Not accepted: stained, torn or damaged items; anything with strong odors;

undergarments, socks or swimwear unless new with tags; single shoes; furniture;

electronics; stuffed animals; and adult books.

Calling Local Vendors

Artisans and small businesses can still apply for a booth to reach hundreds of local

shoppers. Space is limited. The vendor application and organizer contacts are available on

the parish website.
