Tiffany Hoggard and her husband, Winston, have reached an exciting milestone by relocating their business, My Swim Buddy Aquatics, from their backyard to a custom-built facility at Celina Station on Preston Road.

Partnering with HBA Design and Build, Tiffany envisioned and created a swim center that is inviting and comfortable for people of all ages. The facility features a climate-controlled pool, modern locker rooms, offices, and a welcoming area for parents to watch their children progress in the water. Floor-to-ceiling glass separates the seating area from the pools, creating an enjoyable viewing experience while maintaining important safety measures and secure pool access for families.

In 2008, two books profoundly influenced Tiffany: The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren and The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs by Carmine Gallo. As she reflected on their messages, the question, “What would you do for free?” became a guiding force, prompting her to explore her true passions. Tiffany felt reassured that God was guiding her path. Despite the lengthy process of being accepted into nursing school, she ultimately realized it was not her calling and bravely stepped away to pursue a more meaningful direction.

From 2011 to 2019, Tiffany refined her unique approach to swim instruction. She partnered with approximately 60 homeowner associations, bringing swim lessons directly to community pools. Alongside a team of passionate, like-minded instructors, she developed the curriculum that still guides her teaching today. Tiffany and her team continue to meet annually to update and refine their curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the latest research and best practices in swimming instruction. Her philosophy centers on creating a safe and supportive environment where children and adults alike can enjoy the water and build new skills. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing students gain confidence and experience breakthrough “light bulb” moments in the pool.

During this period of growth, Tiffany made several trips to Texas for specialized training in infant teaching techniques. Those experiences sparked her affection for the state. When the world paused during COVID, Tiffany saw an opportunity to move both her life and business to Texas. She and Winston boldly purchased a home in Celina sight unseen, relying only on photos and videos from their realtor. Once settled, they launched MSB Aquatics from their backyard, steadily building a thriving business that quickly grew through word of mouth to serve approximately 350 families.

Their mission has always been to offer a full range of swim programs designed for every age, ability level, and swim goal. From first-time swimmers to advanced stroke development, their private and group lessons are built around safety, confidence, and long-term progression.

After overcoming a few initial hurdles, MSB Aquatics now welcomes children, teens, and adults to its distinctive facility in Celina. The expansive indoor pool spans approximately 5,000 square feet, holds 50,000 gallons of water, and maintains a consistent depth of 3.5 to 4 feet. This thoughtful design accommodates 14 dedicated swim lesson stations, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for all participants.

MSB Aquatics was intentionally designed to be much more than a toddler swim school. At its core, Tiffany has built the business around a strong sense of community. She envisions MSB Aquatics as a lively gathering place where families connect, friendships grow, and a shared love of swimming thrives. To foster that welcoming atmosphere, the center offers Toddler and Me classes, shallow-water aquatic fitness, swim team skill-building, and swim team readiness assessments. Soon, a coffee shop will open next door, creating even more opportunities for families to relax and connect after lessons. The facility’s proximity to a spacious grassy area also gives children a safe place to play while parents unwind and socialize.

Tiffany’s staff brings a variety of educational backgrounds and includes dedicated, professional swim instructors. Every instructor is certified in the exclusive My Swim Buddy Methodology, ensuring consistent, high-quality instruction rooted in safety, skill development, and positive learning experiences. The team is united by a shared passion for teaching and empowering students to succeed. Tiffany is especially devoted to working with children and adults who are neurodivergent or have special needs, and she believes deeply in the transformative power of swimming for all. Her inspiration is deeply personal. Her nephew, who is on the spectrum, discovered a shared love of water with her, and she has cherished helping him gain confidence and strength through their time together in the pool.

Tiffany, Winston, and their beloved dog, Henry, want to remind families that summer is the perfect time to strengthen water safety and swimming skills. They recommend beginning with a two-week intensive program featuring 15 to 30 sessions over four days each week to refresh swimming abilities and reinforce pool safety. Afterward, families can continue with customized lessons tailored to their individual needs. Throughout the summer, MSB Aquatics will also host several “come check us out” events, so be sure to follow their social media channels for the latest updates and opportunities.
