Sean Boxiong Shuai - Short Track Speed Skater

Sean is coached by Simon Cho at the Potomac Speedskating Club. He became the first American to win a gold medal at the Youth Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Lucas Koo - Short Track Speed Skater

Lucas, like fellow speedskater Sean, was coached at the Potomac Speedskating Club. He will represent Brazil at the Olympics. 

Andrew Wilson - Swimmer

Andrew, from Bethesda, is the first Division III athlete to swim on an Olympic team. He won a gold medal in the men's medley relay race at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 

Katie Ledecky - Swimmer

Katie, from Bethesda, graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. She has won seven gold and three silver medals in three Olympic Games, making her the most decorated female swimmer in history.

Helen Maroulis - Wrestler

Helen is the first U.S. female wrestler to win Olympic gold. This summer, at the age of 32, she will be the oldest U.S. woman to wrestle at the Olympics and the first to wrestle at three games. 

Kyle Snyder - Wrestler

Kyle Snyder, from Woodbine, attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. He is the youngest Olympic and World Champion in men's wrestling history. He will make a run at earning a third straight Olympic medal in Paris. 

Farrah Hall - Sailor

Farrah, who hails from Cape St. Claire, is both an experienced athlete and coach in the sport of Olympic Windsurfing, which falls under the discipline of Sailing. She swam on the St. Mary's College of Maryland swim team and is also a triathlete.

Abby Gustaitis - Rugby Player

Abby, from Pylesville, played basketball in high school and began playing rugby at the age of 19 at the University of Maryland. She has coached women's high school and college rugby.

Phoebe Bacon - Swimmer

Phoebe, like Katie Ledecky, grew up in Bethesda and graduated from Stone Ridge. She participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 in the backstroke. 

Kayla DiCello - Gymnast

Kayla,from Boyds, graduated from Northwest High School. She started gymnastics at the age of two at Hill's Gymnastics in Gaithersburg. She was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team and the gold medal-winning 2023 World Championship team. 

Frances Tiafoe - Tennis Player

Frances, whose parents immigrated from Sierra Leone, was born in Hyattsville. As a child he started playing tennis at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park where his father worked. He is the third African-American man to be ranked in the top 10 tennis players by the Association of Tennis Professionals. 

Erin Gemmell - Swimmer

Erin, the third outstanding women's swimmer from Stone Ridge, is looking to compete in the 2024 Women's Olympic Relay Races. Swimming is a family sport. Her father, Bruce, is her coach, her mother, Barbara, was a competitive swimmer and her brother, Andrew, is also a competitive swimmer.
