Iced Matcha with Strawberry Cold Foam Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Iced Matcha:

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup cold milk of choice
  • 1–2 teaspoons sweetener (optional)

For the Strawberry Cold Foam:

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry puree
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to remove any lumps.
  2. Add the hot water to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or a regular whisk until smooth and frothy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the cold milk into the glass, then top with the whisked matcha. Stir to combine.
  5. Sweeten to taste, if desired.
  6. In a mixing bowl or a milk frother, combine the heavy cream, strawberry puree, and sugar.
  7. Whip or froth the mixture until it reaches a light, foamy consistency. (Avoid overwhipping to the point of stiff peaks; it should be pourable.
  8. Spoon or pour the strawberry cold foam over the prepared iced matcha.

Traditional Matcha
