It’s hard, and unnecessary, to describe it better than they do themselves. The Meteor is "an unexpected mash-up of all-day cafe, natural wine shop and boutique bike shop.” Founded by friends Doug Zell (the founder of Intelligentsia Coffee!) and Chris St. Peter, a former attorney, who are both avid cyclists, they say they wanted to create a place that housed things they personally loved, “thoughtfully chosen wine, carefully prepared coffee, bicycles…and perhaps more importantly, a community that enjoyed these same pursuits.” They’ve been successfully doing just that at their flagship South Congress location since it opened October 2019 and they’ve since expanded, adding locations in Bentonville and Fayetteville, Arkansas and another in Dallas, Texas.
