How did you become involved with the Building Industry Association of Stark & East Central Ohio?
I first got involved in the BIA when I began working with my family's custom home-building company, Hostetler Family Homes, after college in 2005. Since then, I've served on various committees, as treasurer, as vice president and this year as president of the association. My dad, who founded the company with his father and has since retired, is a former president of the BIA. Hostetler Family Homes is one of the few companies that has had both a father and son serve as president of the association.
What do you love about your job?
I love just about everything about the homebuilding industry. Building dream homes for customers to raise families, create memories, share values, and build their legacy in is the core of my company's mission.
What's happening in the local building industry?
We have an exciting year of events planned at the BIA. Our first public event will be the Spring Circuit of New Homes on March 25 and 26. We're hosting two Home & Garden shows in the spring — one in Stark County on April 21 and 22 and one for Tuscarawas County on April 28-30. Additionally, we are planning a Summer Parade of Homes in the very desirable Woodlands neighborhood in Hartville.
