How did you get started in the world of social media direction and marketing?
Through the success of my own blog, Charlotte Fashion Plate, and social media platforms.
Tell me a little bit about your blog Charlotte Fashion Plate.
CFP is so much more than just a fashion and food blog. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the support I have received around the country and particularly, here in Charlotte. When I came up with this idea a little over four years ago, I was mainly focused on fashion styling. Never in a million years would I have predicted that my focus now would be on creating recipes for others to enjoy. I am incredibly thankful to be teaming up with brand name companies like Target and McCormick Spice.
Why fashion and food?
In a former life, I was an accounting professor. I loved it so very much, but I always knew there was something else I should be doing…this is it! I have such a passion for both fashion and food and I want others to enjoy them as much as I do.
What motivates you?
Motivating others, motivates me. I love when people try my recipes. I’m all about getting people to cook more at home. This inspires me to keep creating recipes for the beginner and expert home cook. I also love that others enjoy my fashion sense. I love sharing my finds with others and inspiring women of all ages.
