Richmond Brathwaite loves the southwest Atlanta home he shares with his family: William, Tonya and Ben. Bred by a champion dog show handler, Richmond was thoughtfully chosen as the family pet in April of 2020 during the onset of the pandemic. With more time being spent at home, the Brathwaites were easily able to train Richmond and help him become acclimated to their family and neighborhood. Richmond was born on April Fool’s Day, however he is quite intelligent, intuitive and clever. Just as American Cocker Spaniels are known for their large expressive eyes and long furry ears, they also have a reputation of possessing affectionate and friendly personalities with a gentle temperament. Richmond, named after Tonya’s hometown in Virginia, epitomizes the warm and tender reputation of Cocker Spaniels and he especially loves kids and other dogs.
