Mindset Makeover

Curate Your Life with Style

Many people spend time (and lots of money) remodeling homes, sprucing up yards and updating wardrobes.

But, what about a mindset makeover?

It’s easy to focus on how things look, but we must also pay attention to the ways we think and behave. To update your mental closet, here are some styling tips for cultivating a mindset to bring out your best.

Clear the Path for Growth

It’s essential to clear out the mental clutter to create space for growth and transformation. Identify and let go of things that weigh you down. Consider how many hours you’re spending scrolling social media or binge-watching true crime dramas. Instead, find more uplifting content or take the time to learn a new skill.

Next, tackle toxic relationships that drain your energy. Choose to invest in relationships that nurture and inspire you. We become the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Carefully choose your inner circle.

Let go of bitterness and resentment by practicing forgiveness and making space for positivity and evolution.

Dress Your Mood and Energy with Intention

Now that you’ve purged, reflect on what you want to achieve and how you want to feel. Focus on creating new routines and habits that align with your goals and values.

Establish a morning routine that sets a positive tone for your day. This may include prayer, meditation, reading personal development material, journaling, and setting a daily intention. Engaging in physical movement is also crucial for a healthy mind and body, so find an activity that you enjoy and make it a regular part of your daily routine.

Throughout the day, take time to do a 5-minute “release” meditation, or walk around the block to refresh and recharge. As you transition from one part of your day to the next, pause and set an intention for the next activity.

Accessorize with Connections

Just as the right bag or shoes make an outfit sing, our relationships help our mindsets thrive. Maintaining healthy relationships with friends and family is vital to our mental health.

You can always tell someone’s priorities by what’s on their calendar. Identify the people you need to see, map out your week in advance and put it in writing.

Style Your Mindset for Greatness

Curate a life that reflects the very best of who you are and who you aspire to become. If you can’t see a way out of negative thinking, don’t be afraid to ask for help from a therapist or a qualified life coach. Remember, people are counting on you and you’re worth it.
