Marvelous Members-Only Boating

Freedom Boat Club Is Key To Summer Water Adventures

Boating is made simple, safe, straightforward and enjoyable at Freedom Boat Club, based locally from Lake Center Marina, 5898 Washeon Road in St Charles.

K.C. Kettleson, Freedom Boat Club general manager, says the company buys and operates a fleet of boats so members can join the club through a one-time entry fee and monthly dues, and then thoroughly enjoy their time on the water without boat-specific preparation fuss. "We handle all repairs and maintenance, and offer a variety of membership plans to fit various boating needs."

He says this company is the largest members-only boat club in the world, having been established during 1989 in Sarasota, Florida.

"We also provide all our members with unlimited training with certified captains, and conduct an annual water safety seminar," adds K.C. "Freedom Boat Club is the ultimate way to boat, and a great way to discover the joys of boating."

He says club members often leverage boat outings to include swimming, snorkeling, fishing, cruising, sightseeing, docking to dine and water sports.

Local Freedom Boat Club vessels will be open in Missouri year-round, only closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve/Day. K.C. says, "We're also closed if water is frozen, and we can’t get boats out. But if the water's flowing, our boats are going out."

They have various fleet choices, depending on the location, including bowriders, pontoons/tritoons, inshore/offshore fishing boats, deck boats and wake boats. "We added 12 new boats this year, including Sea Ray SPO, 27-foot Lowe tritoons with 300 HPS, 26-foot Lowes with 150 HPS, Lowe pontoons with 115 HPS, and a Sea Fox dual console," K.C. states.

Club members can reserve a boat by phone or online via an interactive map.

Freedom Boat Club members can boat at the company's three other Missouri locations: Indian Point Marina, 3443 Indian Point Road, Branson; Ozark Village Resort, Buddy's Harbor, 1062 Susan Road, Lake Ozark; and Freedom Harbour, 28MM LOTO, 6515 Chalet Drive, Osage Beach. Additionally, unlimited boating for members is available via reciprocal access at more than 370 (possibly 400 by year's end) locations in the United States, Canada and Europe.

K.C. says they plan to open more locations in Missouri, including Smithville, Bull Shoals, Stockton, Mark Twain and other popular lakes.

They have a team of 30 trained employees for the 2023 season, and often host open houses on weekends for potential members to check out the club.

"Boating should be a relaxing and fun escape, focused on making incredible memories with family and friends," proclaims K.C.
