Jeff Meldrum is at the vanguard of changes that are taking place in residential sales, and he is inviting everyone in Grosse Pointe to consider his approach when they are ready to buy or sell.
"In today's world, real estate buyers have access to homes right on their phones," Meldrum says. The future lies in high-level exposure and having the infrastructure to reach buyers wherever they are. We can deliver that."
Meldrum is Managing Broker for the Grosse Pointe office of @Properties Christie's International Real Estate. @Properties is the eighth largest real estate company in the U.S. That provides Grosse Pointers with immediate access to Christie's digital platform, offering real-time access to a network of brokers and interested buyers and sellers around the world. The cutting-edge technology allows Meldrum and his team in Grosse Pointe to tailor their approach and provide every client with the best package for their home.
The tailored approach includes building relationships. "I need to know who you are and what's important to you so I can customize the best package for your needs and your property," Meldrum explains.
"The majority of clients are both buyers and sellers. When navigating the process through family and career considerations, every situation is unique. The main goal is always maximizing sales price and tailoring the approach to each client's needs."
He learned that early in his career as executive director of a landscape company serving the Grosse Pointes. "I was dealing with people on a daily basis. I grew up on the east side. My wife and I are members of the Lochmoor Club. She teaches at Brownell Middle School. Our children attend school here. We are entrenched in the community," Meldrum says. It all combined to make for a natural transition into residential real estate sales. It also helped Jeff Meldrum develop his personal brand along the way.
"My goal is to help homeowners understand their property, understand what value their property has, and make sure they are able to put themselves in the best position to sell their property. "
"There is a difference between what your home is worth and what your home is going to sell for," Meldrum points out. "We are here to maximize that outcome."
He provides all clients with a unique, top-to-bottom perspective that helps them find value and quality throughout the buying and selling process. All homes receive the benefit of his experience, which includes top-quality photos inside and out, including drone footage and video. Once a For Sale sign goes in the ground, a postcard goes out to homeowners in the area, and the property is entered into @Properties Christie's International database.
That's when the real work for Meldrum begins: "I spare no expense in marketing your home. There is backing from me to ensure the property gets seen where it needs to be. The most important thing I tell my clients is that I will advertise your property the same if it is a $300,000 home or $7,000,000." And therein lies the difference between good offers and great offers, Meldrum says, between five showings and twenty. "
What it really is about for me is presenting each property in its best possible light."
Jeff's commitment to building relationships and serving clients was instilled in him early on by his father, whose career was in sales. "I learned so much from him about hard work, dedication and staying true to yourself," Meldrum points out. "I have two sons, and it is something I want to instill in them."
@properties Christie's International Real Estate has a global and national footprint including the following locations in Michigan: Grosse Pointe Farms (100 Kercheval Avenue), Detroit, Birmingham, Ann Arbor, Rochester, Northville, Petosky and Harbor Springs.
