Midnight Velvet Valentine Cocktail

A sultry late-night cocktail/mocktail blending chocolate, raspberry, and vodka for indulgent Valentine’s moments after dark.

Cheers to a late-night, dessert-style Valentine’s Day cocktail that is romantic, smooth, and just indulgent enough for after hours.

Midnight Velvet Kiss

Flavor profile: chocolate-kissed, berry-soft, creamy, and luxurious

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz vanilla vodka

  • 1 oz crème de cacao (dark or milk)

  • 1 oz raspberry liqueur (Chambord works beautifully)

  • 1 oz half-and-half or light cream

  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

  • Ice

Garnish (choose one or combine)

  • Chocolate shavings

  • Fresh raspberry

  • Strawberry heart slice

  • Cocoa-dusted rim or crushed chocolate rim

Instructions

  1. Rim a chilled coupe or martini glass with cocoa powder or crushed chocolate (optional but romantic).

  2. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  3. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until silky and chilled.

  4. Strain into the prepared glass.

  5. Garnish and serve immediately.

Late-Night Upgrade

  • Add ½ oz espresso or coffee liqueur for a mocha-after-dark twist.

  • Swap cream for oat milk or coconut cream for a softer, modern finish.

Why it works:
The chocolate and raspberry combo feels decadent and intimate, while the vanilla base keeps it smooth—perfect for a cozy Valentine’s nightcap or dessert replacement.

Or try the perfect mocktail version for
Late-night dessert sipping, romantic dinners, self-care nights, or anyone skipping alcohol without skipping indulgence.
