Minnesota Favorites

Alexandria

My favorite place is Alexandria. We have our cabin there and the area offers so many cool and fun things to do.

The Pool

While most people enjoy cabins and lakes outside their home, we enjoy spending time with family in our backyard. We built our own little oasis full of relaxation, fun and laughs. The best part... not having to fight traffic to enjoy a little sun and fun!

Gleason Fields

Gleason fields in Maple Grove is our home away from home. Weekday evenings and weekends are spent at these new beautiful turf fields. Concessions help support youth sports and don't break the bank! These are more then just fields, this is where kids learn teamwork, hard work, giving it your all, winning, losing, and determination! If you have the chance check out the Gleason Fields!

Minnesota Golf

I love being on any Minnesota golf course, where I can enjoy the game I’m passionate about. I love attending charity golf events which support military veterans, police officers, and frontline workers. As a retired military veteran and former police officer, these events let me combine my love for golf with giving back to those who “serve and protect” our community. These events are a meaningful way to honor their sacrifices and make a positive impact in those communities while also letting them know that there are many that are truly thankful for what they do everyday.

Ely

This Gateway to the Boundary Waters, my hometown, is filled with with endless trails, lakes and picturesque wilderness! Whether you are looking to hike, hunt or fish, Ely is the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors and relax.

Lutsen & Grand Marais

You have to see Lutsen and Grand Marais in the fall for the fall color change. We love staying at Eagle Ridge Resort and exploring the North Shore!

Black Beach / Split Rock

Split Rock Lighthouse and nearby Black Beach are our favorite places in Minnesota. Surrounded by breathtaking views of Lake Superior, dramatic cliffs, and peaceful forest trails, it’s our go-to spot to slow down, reconnect, and soak in the natural beauty of the North Shore as a family.

Wise Acre Eatery

Wise Acre Eatery in Minneapolis holds a special place in our hearts. After touring their regenerative farm twice, we’ve seen the care that goes into everything they do, from the soil to the plate. It feels honest and grounded. Every visit reminds us why we love living in Minnesota—good food, good people, and a real sense of community.

Mystery Cave Park

One of our favorite spots is the Mystery Cave State Park in Forestville. We love it because there are so many fun things to do. Hiking to a scenic overlook, a ghost town, and tours of Minnesota’s longest cave.
