Missouri's New Margaritaville Lake Resort

The Show-Me State's Own Version of Palm Trees, Breezes and Island Music

Margaritaville can be more than just a mental state now. It's an actual place, and it's not too far away!

Osage Beach, Mo., boosts the new location for Margaritaville Lake Resort to the shores of Lake of the Ozarks, which is the first of its kind for the Margaritaville brand and resort chain. The resort formerly was the Tan-Tar-A Resort, which opened July 4, 1960.

To envelope yourself in the relaxing, laid-back Margaritaville vibe, follow these steps.

STEP 1: Arrive at the new resort and soak in the warm sand shades of the resort's buildings, with white trim to reflect the shoreline.

STEP 2: Check in and enjoy one of the 500 Margaritaville-signature "casual-luxe" design rooms, with sky-blue walls, warm wood elements and bright accents.

STEP 3: Quench your thirst and hunger at JB's Boathouse Grill with nautical decor; Fin City Pizzeria that includes fresh pie; or Windrose Marker 26 Lakeside Dining that offers seafood, steaks and an incredible lake view.

STEP 4: Enjoy tropical beverages and lighter food fare at the Tiki Hut Pool Bar, located at the Lakeside Pool.

STEP 5: Look forward to partaking of the fresh LandShark Bar & Grill, which will be the resort's flagship waterfront restaurant that provides fish tacos, nachos, wings, crisp salads, boat drinks and signature LandShark burgers.

STEP 6: Use the new fleet of gray golf carts for the Oaks golf course, or have fun in the Fin City Arcade.

STEP 7: Monitor for more updates to the resort lobby, marina, water park and bowling alley.

STEP 8: Hope that singer and Parrot Head leader Jimmy Buffet will host a concert there any day now. Or at least grab some of Jimmy's fun, popular apparel.

STEP 9: Go ahead and escape to make memories for a lifetime at this fresh lakeside retreat.

STEP 10: Nibble on sponge cake, watch the sun bake, strum that six-string and search for that long-lost shaker of salt!
