Moments that Matter

A Roundup of Some of Our Favorite Local Photographers

From the first steps of a toddler to the final steps across the graduation stage, life’s big moments deserve to be captured. Whether you’re updating a business headshot, snapping family portraits, capturing senior milestones, or saying “I do,” the right photographer can make all the difference. Here’s a roundup of some of our local favorites!

1. Lorelei Murphy

I always say I started photography because my husband got tired of me sending pictures of our first daughter all day, every day, to his phone. So he bought me my first camera, along with classes to Austin School of Photography, and here we are. I love that, through my lens, clients are able to see themselves how everyone else sees them. I love candids and all the crazy in between. I know everyone wants that perfect picture, but the reality is always my favorite. I’ll end with my favorite quote from Erma Bombeck: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’”

2. Carrin Lewis

I’ve called Dripping Springs home for almost a decade now, and you’ll most likely find me chatting with friends and family at one of my favorite coffee shops in town: Nectarine, Lucky Lab, or (of course) Mazama. As I approach my 10-year business anniversary, I am overwhelmed by the ways that my Dripping Springs clients have been so good to me. Starting a business in this amazing town is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love offering family photography at any stage, from maternity to high school seniors and everything in between. I also offer business lifestyle sessions for local entities and businesses.

3. Claire Mulkey

Originally from Oregon, my love for nature and the outdoors runs deep. One of my favorite things about living in Dripping Springs is the access to incredible parks, trails, and natural springs, all within a short distance.

Each year, I explore new areas, always on the lookout for unique locations for the families and couples I photograph. I especially enjoy working with people who are up for an adventure—those longer hikes often lead to the most memorable shots.

Dripping Springs has some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I've met! It has been such a joy to not only photograph, but to really get to know so many people in the area, many of whom have become close friends. I feel so lucky to be a part of this vibrant, supportive community.

4. Stacy Berg

I’m Stacy Berg, a photographer based in Dripping Springs, Texas, and the heart behind Fotohogg Photography. I’ve lived here for 25 years and have watched our little town grow—its charm, its people, its stories. This place grounds me, even as my work takes me wherever the light leads.

With more than 20 years behind the camera, I’ve built a style that’s raw, soulful, and full of motion. My sessions move fast, lean into lovely chaos, and thrive in blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. I’ll probably make you laugh, might trip over something, and will absolutely catch the shot you didn’t know you needed.

What we create isn’t just a photo; it's a piece of your story that you hang on your wall because it means something. It holds emotion, energy, presence—not perfection. I’m drawn to people in their element, doing what they love, in places that matter. That kind of honesty is where the magic lives, and that’s what I’m chasing every time I pick up my camera. No matter what I’m shooting, the goal is the same: to capture something real. Most of my clients leave feeling like old friends—and honestly, that’s the best part.
