Competitive
It's the one adjective everybody in her life would use to describe her (Sydnee does too). In the Netflix reality show—Million Dollar Secret—Sydnee won the most challenges out of all the contestants. She did wonder if doing poorly would help her in the game but she couldn't follow through with that strategy.
Grateful
Very grateful, in fact. Sydnee tries to live by one of her dad’s catchphrases—be happy, hopeful, humble, and gracious. Sydnee calls herself blessed when talking about all the different things she does now. Outside of being in the Netflix reality universe, she works in medical sales, owns Cake Co. Fitness, and speaks on panels to help empower women.
Q: Describe your style.
I can go from gym bro to runway ready, to beachy- boho. I used to sketch and design because I wanted to be a fashion designer. I’ve been reinventing my style, adding in pops of color, feminine touches, adding fun while keeping a classic style.
Q: What are your three must haves for any outfit?
Tennis bracelet—I love to layer bracelets. A good high heel—think platform heels like five inches. And a really good attitude.
Q: Who are your style icons? Who do you look to for inspiration?
Hailey Bieber, Rihanna, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and my grandma.
Q: What is a lesson you learned from being an oil rigger that still is applicable today?
Hard work always pays off. Do things right the first time. You cannot make mistakes out there. I know how to do the hard jobs, like changing my garbage disposal.
Q: What is one thing you wish more people knew?
It’s okay to be yourself. Who you are is amazing and fantastic. If we were all the same the world would be so boring. Whatever makes you, you—let that be enough and let that shine through.
Style
Doing this western style shoot brought Sydnee back to her roots. Growing up, she would visit her grandma in Phoenix and get to play dress up in all her clothes. She would turn the sidewalk into a runway and proudly show off her poofiest dresses.
