Local Realtor's Home Base Is Roswell

Giving back is important to Susan Rumble and she’s immersed in many philanthropic projects in Roswell including Roswell Arts Fund, Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens, Roswell Rotary Club, Roswell Woman's Club, Roswell Presbyterian, HomeStretch, the Magnolia Ball for the Friends of Bulloch Hall, and The Cottage School. One Susan’s favorite legacies to the Roswell community is the Serenity Garden in Roswell Area Park. In 2005, she developed the concept of a peaceful garden within the park where residents could go to pray or meditate, and groups could gather for events. With the help of the city's Recreation and Parks Department and other funding, this signature garden was dedicated in 2006 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Roswell Arts Festival. Susan’s day job is successful realtor. We caught up with her to find out what makes her tick.

RL: You and your husband of 29 years, Bob, have made Roswell your home for decades. What made you stay and start your business here?

SR: My husband Bob taught at Roswell High School for 16 years. We raised our son James here and love being a part of this community. When James went off to college at Ole Miss, I started in real estate in 2012. I love working in the Roswell community and, of course, working with clients in Milton, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Canton, Sandy Springs, and Dunwoody.  We moved here from Dunwoody so we already loved this area.

RL: You pride yourself on providing the highest level of service to your clients with Engel & Völkers Atlanta North Fulton. How are you navigating this unusual market with your special brand of service?

SR: By choice I work with a few select clients at a time so I can provide luxury service to each one of them. I have surrounded myself with a team of top professionals who assist in providing quality, excellent service to our clients. As houses are selling so quickly in the current market, it's even more important to check every detail of the contract to make sure our clients are protected and there is a smooth transaction.

RL: What are some of your favorite spots to pause and enjoy food and good company?

SR: Lunch at the French bakery Douceur de France is a weekly event. We love our restaurants owned by young locals who grew up in Roswell: Osteria Mattone, Table & Main, Gracious Plenty, and Fellows. Our family meals are most often at Houck's Grille.
