The Sawtooth mountains are truly one of the Gems of Idaho. I have spent many years photographing them, sometimes from different angles, different times of years, and as time has gone by with different cameras.
This is a lake I have been to on more than a few occasions called Sawtooth Lake with Mount Regan. It is the largest of the lakes within the boundaries of the Sawtooth National Forest. I found this location where the wildflowers spilled into the lake. Every time I look at pictures like this one, it reminds me, and that is what brings me back to the Sawtooths year after year. I remember the tiredness in my feet from the hike, the bite of the cool air breeze, and the smell of the wilderness lake and wildflowers.
