The Hotel Rep
Christine Fridlund
Christine Fridlund considers her work colleagues family. And a perfect day would include
time with her husband, 13-year-old son, and her family from the Home2 Suites by Hilton in
Highlands Ranch. As the Director of Sales, she’s the face of the hotel.
“I love that my job is always evolving. I’m able to meet so many different people, from locals to
people from around the world,” she says.
Fridlund has spearheaded the hotel’s philanthropic efforts, including blood drives and donating
linens to dog rescues.
“I’m so lucky to be part of the pay-it-forward mentality in our community,” she says.
The Interior Designer
Jeane Timmer Dole
Jeane Timmer Dole is so passionate about design that pictures from her worldwide
travels—another passion—focus on design elements rather than people. “I enjoy photographing
things like tiles or ceilings, and observing different uses of materials,” the mother of three adult
children says.
This eye for design has fueled Dole’s interior design company, à la carte DESIGN,
for the past 16 years. “I love transforming personal spaces and showing people how important a
beautiful living environment can be to overall well-being,” she says.
“When a client says, ‘You really get me,’ I know I’ve succeeded,” says Dole.
The Attorney
Krystal Woodbury
At age 10, Krystal Woodbury stood on a table during a party and announced that she was going
to be a lawyer. Thirty-five years later, Woodbury’s dedication to her law career hasn’t wavered. An
estate planning attorney with The Law Center P.C. in Highlands Ranch, Woodbury also owns
Colorado Fiduciary Services, LLC.
But while law has been lifelong, Woodbury has a newfound passion for bowling, alongside her
husband and 10-year-old son.
Woodbury particularly enjoys working with the elderly, and she also volunteers with an elder law
hotline. “I love working with families and maintaining relationships through multiple
generations,” she says.
The Mompreneur
AJ Kikumoto
A lifelong dancer and mother of six children ranging from 2 to 14 years old, AJ Kikumoto is
an instructor and coach at Starstruck Academy of Dance. “I love how freeing dance is, but it also
requires discipline,” she says.
An avid volunteer, makeup consultant, and Highlands Ranch resident since 2008, Kikumoto was
overjoyed to compete as Mrs. Highlands Ranch in the Mrs. Colorado America pageant in April.
“Now is a powerful time in my life. I can finally concentrate on myself, which makes me a better
mom as well as a better contributor to our community,” says Kikumoto.
The Nurse
Andrea Ferretti
For Andrea Ferretti, Vice President and Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Children’s Hospital Colorado, it’s always been about the children. They are her passion and her motivation.
“The strength and resilience children show in the face of health challenges is inspiring,” she says.
In a pediatric nursing career spanning 41 years, Ferretti sees life’s miracles as well as its tragedies each day. This has given her an appreciation for life that drives her professionally and personally. A mother of two sons and two grandchildren, she enjoys service work, outdoor activities and traveling.
"I wake up thankful each day," she says.
The Surgeon
Jennifer Bruny
As a pediatric surgeon with Children’s Hospital Colorado, Jennifer Bruny, M.D., knows parents
are entrusting her with their children.
“I’m meeting families at what can be a scary time in their lives. I do what I can to help so that
the child can get back to being a kid,” says Bruny. Though she focuses on surgeries in
cancer patients, she also performs routine surgeries.
“I take what I do very personally, and I take it to heart when things don’t have the desired
outcome. But the successes I hold dear. They keep me going,” Bruny says.
