Sugary goodness for Christmas morning

“My French Toast “ was created by mistake when I realized we were out of milk and substituted with heavy whipping cream. Much to my surprise, my children absolutely loved it. It is now a must for Christmas morning and a few other special occasion mornings. 

Ingredients

  • Sliced bread of your choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Syrup

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs and add heavy whipping cream. Add sugar and vanilla. Set aside.
  2. Heat griddle on medium heat and spray with nonstick spray.
  3. Dip bread one piece at a time in egg mixture.
  4. Place bread on griddle; cook until brown.
  5. Top with butter, powdered sugar and syrup as desired.
