Nancy Scott cares about people. That’s always been an essential part of who she is. When she moved to Venice in 2012 from Pittsburgh to be closer to her parents, she quickly thought, ’I want to start another business that helps people in their homes and give them peace of mind.'
“I thought about all the experiences and skills I had earned in my life, beginning in 2001 with launching a successful business as a Professional Organizer. In Venice, I choose a concierge business specializing in home watch for snowbirds, home and task management, party planning, and transportation to and from local airports,” Nancy explains. “In 2014, I took everything I knew, my many years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, and turned those skills into Nancy’s Concierge Services.”
If your faucet is leaking, call Nancy and she will send you an excellent handyman. If you need help with Christmas lights, call Nancy and the work will soon be done. If you need a ride to the airport, call Nancy and travel in comfort and style. If you want to throw a great party, fix damaged drywall in your house, have someone keep an eye on your home while you are out of town, or accomplish anything else under the sun that requires a helping hand, your first call should always be to Nancy.
“My clients are very appreciative that I resolve problems for them,” Nancy says. “We are great at all sorts of household organizing. If you want to throw a party, we will arrange the catering, planning, provide great servers, bartenders and music, and clean up services. Florida means seasonal needs. In the summers when people travel or head to their northern home, we offer a 28-point visual home inspection and keep a close eye on the home to ensure its safety while the owners are away. When they come home again and want to throw a party, we know all the great restaurants, chefs and caterers to work with."
Nancy is personable and genuine. “We really care about the well-being of our clients,” she says. “We love helping make their lives easier, richer and more satisfying. When I take on a client, they become family. I love getting to know my clients and figuring out how I can better help them enjoy their lives.”
Married to Buzz, a retired principal and football and track coach, and mother to Joe, 29, a local arborist, and Bailey, 18, an aspiring model, Nancy loves her work and meeting new people.
“My skill is understanding people and providing them with what they need,” Nancy says. “I always go over and beyond the call of duty not because I feel I have to, but because I want to. My goal is to provide the best concierge services my clients have ever experienced.”
