Proposals For All
A vision in progress, the Proposals for All community located in Neskowin, Oregon, will house dwellings, community space, art programming and residency, culinary experiences, and outdoor adventures. The duo behind the project, Chris and Alexis Tate, have always dreamed of being a part of a community centered around art and experience. With backgrounds in fashion, environmental stewardship and music, the Tate's look forward to bringing all of these elements and more to the Proposals for All journey.
The first available dwelling (pictured), Landescape, is an oceanfront oasis. Literally steps from the sand with spectacular views of Proposal Rock; this beautiful retreat includes: 3 bedrooms, 3 bath, spacious outdoor decks, fireplace, game room, private spa, and chef's kitchen. It's architectural design nods to the famous architects of the 1970s with details such as original redwood throughout the home, custom captain’s beds and spiral staircase. The Tate’s installed additional windows, which led to a bay of 10- 10 ft tall panoramic views of the Ocean, Hawk Creek and Proposal Rock. Other added modern touches include a new chef’s kitchen, remodeled bathrooms with custom lighting and heated floors, a custom sofa to maximize all views and a new deck and spa perfect for sunsets.
The home also features custom art from around the world (artists and art noted on their website). The Tate’s have been coming to Neskowin with family for years, and have always been inspired by the local artistic community. The village has called writers, painters, musicians and all types of artists since its inception, not to mention the local seasonal farmers market showcasing incredible locally grown produce.

The resort sets the stage for comfort and relaxation through the scents of all the lotions and soaps, as well as the lush robes and slippers.

Their menu’s stay true to Pacific Northwest cuisine using fresh, vibrant seasonal ingredients, and they partner with local growers, purveyors and farms. Both restaurants feature award-winning food and wine, not to mention the iconic PNW views of Snoqualmie Falls right out your window.

Captain Whidbey
What feels like a hidden gem for visitors, is also a longtime favorite for locals. The grounds at Captain Whidbey on Whidbey Island entice nostalgia and a slower, carefree pace that locals and visitors alike have been enjoying since 1907. A longtime history of being a place to gather and relax, Captain Whidbey previous live’s include a boarding house, private residence, post office, general store and girl’s school.
In 2018 Matt and Mike French, along with Ace Hotel Group alum Eric Cheong, took over and reimagined the property. The new owner’s goal was to maintain the character of the historic inn while making it more relevant for today's visitors. The result has been described as “an adult summer camp with salty-dog, nautical soul”, or “Moby Dick-meets-Moonrise Kingdom vibe.” In other words, a perfect ambiance for attracting today’s savvy Instagram travel influencers, all while pleasing the longtime local crowd by maintaining its history.
Every area on the property is different, with historic details and custom furnishings. Accommodations include Historic Lodge rooms above the main tavern, Lagoon rooms, and 4 secluded cabins. The cozy yet rustic Historic Lodge rooms have remained almost unchanged from 1907. Note these rooms offer the least amount of privacy with shared bathrooms, and the occasional chatter from the tavern below. For the most private and picturesque experience, select one of the 4 cabins each curated by a distinctive Northwest designer, including Filson, Glasswing, We The Nomads and Edit Whidbey. Each cabin has a fireplace, a King bed, and private porches.
