Subaru has long been known for its quality vehicles and community branding. On a worldwide
level, their philosophy continues to revolve around responsibility, diversity, charitable giving
and sustainability. Here in the Twin Cities, Luther Bloomington Subaru has been carrying these
same initiatives through to car buyers locally. After over a year under construction, the all-new
facility located in Bloomington (Lyndale & 494) and adjacent to its previous location, opened
this past March. It provides an incredible ambiance in addition to the already trusted brand,
with an intentional and unique new design.
Keeping the Subaru “Love Promise” values in mind, this new dealership includes key elements
such as a solar paneled rooftop, large amounts of glass allowing natural light to flow through,
and plenty of square footage to showcase the entire new car model line up while at the same
time ensuring ample room for social distancing. The new car show floor is located inside on the
second level, so one can browse favorite models like the Outback, Forester and Ascent in a
climate-controlled environment while bringing a comfortable shopping experience in any sort
of Minnesota weather. But, it’s not just beautiful and new. You can actually feel the positive
culture in the atmosphere. It is light, bright, full of friendly photography depicting people
enjoying family, friends, pets, the great outdoors, while also equipped with a happy and
inviting staff. The new space is comfortable, open, and transparent - which is how the car
buying experience should be. After a purchase, the delivery bay is where a specialist will take
customers through the basics of their new car. All new owners are welcome to come back at
their convenience for what Subaru refers to as the “love encore” where a staff member will
take all the time one needs to walk through the details and technology of a new purchase.
Charlie Rassouli, General Manager, comments that the building was designed for “efficiency
and convenience.” For example, the express service side allows for drive in with no
appointment needed, and technology to immediately read statistics on the vehicle like wheel
alignment and tire pressure upon entrance. Charlie says “express service is meant for speed, so customers can get in and out in a timely manner.”
If longer service or repairs are needed, the new dealership boasts 38 bays built with the latest
and greatest in technology for technicians to complete work as needed. Bloomington Subaru
services all makes and models, so you don’t have to own a Subaru in order to enjoy this
customer-first experience. Courtesy vehicles are free and available if there is a need to leave
the premises. If ones decides to wait onsite, there are plenty of tables, comfy seating and work
stations to continue on with a busy day. In the customer lounge kitchen area, one can grab a
beverage and wait on the rooftop deck (Minnesota weather permitting of course).
Regardless of the fancy new build, the Bloomington Subaru team continues to be one of the top Subaru dealers in the state. It’s not just the large selection of vehicles, it also boils down to
Charlie and his team having the same goal, which is “giving one hundred percent to the
customers.” His staff is tenured with most management having been there for over a decade.
Charlie adds, “I am happy with people’s reaction. It’s a very inviting place and whether you are
here to shop, buy, service, or get parts – we’re here to make it easy.”
