Model and entrepreneur Nicole Trunfio opened her first brick-and-mortar store for BUMPSUIT at The Domain. Currently a six-month pop-up in the space formerly occupied by Skims, it’s planning to follow suit with a permanent location at The Domain, and more retail stores to come. Nicole created BUMPSUIT during her third pregnancy to fulfill a need she found for stylish, versatile and comfortable clothes during pregnancy, post-partum and beyond. This store, designed by Will Fox of Fox & Fox, shows how much they’ve quickly grown, featuring all the BUMPSUIT collections: intimates and shapewear, loungewear, healing compression wear for recovery, occasion wear for events and baby showers, as well as the activewear and terry sweatsuits, all perfect for expecting moms, new moms – and any women who love to slip into something soft and flattering. The store also carries the Armadillo baby carrier, has a marketplace and is designed to host the mom-and-baby community, complete with an interactive play and seating area, so look out for events there.
Kendra debuted Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott on South Congress, across the street from her flagship namesake store and it’s the store of your Cowgirl Chic dreams. She says it’s a love letter to her home state of Texas. The store features fresh takes on vintage-inspired jewelry, boots, hats, and more. They’ve reimagined heritage Western styles with contemporary materials for styles that are worthy of the legendary yellow rose name, which Kendra tells Austin Lifestyle was inspired by the name of her ranch, Yellow Rose Ranch, the yellow rose of Texas and yellow being her favorite color, adding, “beyond that it's very significant to me because the suffragettes wore yellow roses when they were trying to get their right to vote. So, it's all about strong, trailblazing women with a lot of grit and determination, and that's who we celebrate here at Yellow Rose.”
They’re also continuing the promise to give back as they grow, which has led to a partnership with the nonprofit Nest, sharing that through their shared commitment to empowering the next generation of makers, artisans, and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed, they’re making sure the future of cowgirl culture is as rich as its past.
Stephanie has realized a dream years in the making, taking her three storefronts at Cassis Village in Tarrytown – Estilo, Estilo Men and Estilo Kids – and combining them under one roof to create a boutique department store. Inspired by the famous Fred Seagal in Los Angeles, each space in the store has its own distinct feel, although those who have watched Stephanie grow her business over the last 20 years know the feel will always be local, a place you can go for personalized service and styling, where Stephanie probably knows your name, and if she doesn’t, she will. There’s also a seating area in front where friends can catch up – or people can wait in comfort while their significant other shops through the ever-changing trove of inventory.
Estilo’s official grand opening party is forthcoming, but here’s a look inside BUMPSUIT and Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott’ opening night.
