New West Symphony celebrated their Summerfest program with an Inaugural VIP Dinner at Moorpark College, followed by an outdoor screening of “Raiders of the Lost Arc” with the John Williams score accompanying the film played by New West Symphony. What a unique experience!
The dinner honored New West’s good friends and philanthropists Hugh and Keets Cassar and Hollywood film studio legend and New West Symphony Principal Horn James Thatcher.
The previous day, as their Summerfest opened at Moorpark College, the lineup offered spectacular talent, from jazz to country and rock. The headliner of the evening Jason Scheff performed with a full orchestra and legendary guests included Steve Porcaro, formerly of TOTO, and Santana’s lead vocalist, Alex Ligertwood.
