Savoring Life: Nicole’s Passion for Event, Branding, and Food Photography

Nicole Mac's journey in photography began in 1990 when she developed her first roll of film. A year later, she bought her first camera, sparking a passion that would define her career. Her love for photography deepened during a backpacking trip across Western Europe, where the captivating scenery and architecture inspired her to pursue formal education. Returning to Nova Scotia, Nicole enrolled in a two-year commercial photography course, laying the foundation for her professional journey.

In 2022, Nicole established Nicole Mac Photography and Design LLC in Sarasota, bringing her unique perspective to the local photography scene. Her style, shaped by over 20 years in the service industry and enhanced by a B.A. in Fine Arts, a commercial photography diploma, and a graphic design diploma, reflects her dual passions for art and culinary delights. Specializing in event, branding, and food photography, Nicole’s work is a blend of her romantic, people-loving nature and her deep appreciation for fine cuisine.

One of Nicole's standout experiences was a studio photoshoot with a chef friend during her commercial photography course, where she felt an exhilarating joy that confirmed her path in photography. Looking ahead, Nicole is thrilled about her upcoming project—a family cookbook. This personal endeavor will feature photographed recipes, each linked to family memories, creating a beautiful blend of food, photography, and storytelling.

Nicole’s inspiration comes from diverse sources: movies, galleries, hikes, and good meals. Her dedication to capturing life’s precious moments underscores the profound impact of photography in preserving cherished memories.

Nicole covers many of Lakewood City Lifestyle's events and we love her work.
