Although Traci Talbott, owner of Delish In A Dish, has business degrees in both restaurant/culinary arts and business, she found herself working in corporate sales for a company in Michigan out of school. During her 20-year sales career, she was transferred to Ohio. Then, a couple years later, she was asked to relocate again.
But rather than pack up her belongings and switch cities one more time, she decided to put both degrees to work, and in 2012, created Delish In A Dish, a full-service catering business aiming to help busy families get from-scratch, fully cooked meals without buying fast food or spending money at a restaurant. Sounds perfect, right? Perfectly delicious ... especially for Mother’s Day.
Although you can order from Delish In A Dish’s changing weekly menus any time, why not place an order for Mother’s Day brunch? That way, you’ll spend more time pampering mom and less time in the kitchen.
For Traci, the perfect Mom’s Day brunch includes:
Amish Breakfast Casserole. This yummy dish features all the traditional breakfast ingredients in one classic casserole: eggs, three cheeses, bacon, potatoes. Plus, it warms up beautifully (and is oh-so satisfying).
French Toast Casserole. This overnight breakfast beauty starts with cubed French bread, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar, but you can order it prepared one of three ways—with praline topping, with blueberries and cream cheese, or with triple berry streusel. No matter the variety, the kitchen will smell divine, promising a scrumptious meal for mom.
Quiche. A savory, egg-based dish cooked in pastry shell like tarts or pies, Delish offers numerous quiche flavors, including chicken/spinach/feta and sun-dried tomatoes; ham and cheese; broccoli, bacon and chicken; spinach and three cheese to name a few.
Breakfast Strata. Puffy-and-light like a soufflé, stratas casseroles made by mix of bread, eggs, cheese, meat and/or vegetables. And Delish has the best.
It all starts online—sign up for the Delish newsletter to get Traci’s weekly menus, then contact her to order (or talk about catering!). Your mom will thank you.
