What sets the TWU Career Boutique apart is its personalized styling experience. Nicole A. Sonkur, Associate Director of Employer Relations and Office Operations, serves as the coordinator and stylist for the boutique. Drawing on her background in career development and personal styling, she creates an experience that extends far beyond simply handing out professional clothing. Each student receives individualized support through one-on-one appointments designed to cultivate self-assurance while preparing for pivotal career milestones.
Before arriving, students complete a brief intake questionnaire detailing clothing sizes, style, and color preferences, as well as the kind of event they are preparing to attend. Using this information, Nicole curates three complete outfit options prior to the student ever stepping into the boutique. During their appointment, students try on each look, receive personalized guidance, and select the ensemble that best reflects their personality, desired profession, and goals. Best of all, the chosen outfit is theirs to keep, instilling a renewed sense of confidence as they step into their future.
