Not A Hot Toddy

The Third Door's Annual Marietta Mix-Off

The Third Door

Inspired by bar communities in hospitality-driven cities like New Orleans, Downtown Marietta's The Third Door hosted the city's first-ever bartending competition in 2020. Camper-sales showroom by day and cocktail bar by night, the bar's atmosphere is inspired by Prohibition-era speakeasies' intimate, eclectic vibes. Although the secret's out thanks to The Third Door's vast popularity, it maintains its unique charm through the two revamped campers out front: Bearcat Lounge, a Happier Camper private sipping booth, and the Southside, a 1969 Airstream Caravel, which holds the outside bar.

Stepping onto the scene amid a pandemic had its struggles, and The Third Door faced them head-on like the rest of us. They dreamt up the "Not A Hot Toddy" competition to celebrate their first winter season, kick off their holiday pop-up, and generate some much-needed local camaraderie in the spirit of festive cocktails and friendly competition. The competition has grown and delighted patrons while serving up some fantastic new wintertime libations for four years.

As Lara Ferreira, Co-owner of The Third Door, puts it, "Marietta is home to some amazing, unique restaurants and bars that are receiving metro-wide recognition, and Not a Hot Toddy is a fun way to promote some of the amazing talent and creativity right here in our neighborhood."

Don't let the winter season pass you by without testing these two award-winning cocktail recipes!
