Oakwood Public Market, expected to open October 2024, will be a destination for discovering Texas food and provisions of the highest quality right here in Dripping Springs.
A family-first business, Oakwood promotes food culture through a highly curated selection of the best local goods from local farmers, artisans and purveyors.
Savor an artisan pizza. Enjoy an Oakwood charcuterie board and specialty sandwich from the meat and cheese shop. Sip a warm latte and delight in baked goods or breakfast tacos from the Oakwood Coffee Shop.
The Soda Shop will feature laid-back nostalgia and Americana food. Unwind at the soda fountain with a fresh squeezed lemonade, a homemade milkshake or a slice of seasonal fruit pie.
The Oakwood Bar will be your neighborhood watering hole with the finest patio in the Hill Country. There will be signature cocktails, and local beers and wines available.
If you’re planning a celebration, Oakwood’s private event space will be just the place.
Oakwood Public Market is backed by a group of talented businessmen, including Judson Sutherland, who says the greatest moment in his life was being saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Sutherland owns and operates family-focused hospitality businesses, such as TLC and Camp Hideaway. Ben Cachila led organizational development for Uchi, an Austin based restaurant, and has owned and operated several acclaimed restaurants, including Old Thousand. Blake Rue, the owner and developer of the Headwaters Commercial project, is also involved.
Oakwood will serve as a launchpad for local purveyors to open their first or second location. There are a few spaces remaining with monthly gross rent from $500 to $2,000, depending on size.
“Love people through hospitality and forever pursue the goal of building community through sustenance and social gathering. That is Oakwood’s mission,” says Sutherland.
Located in front of the Headwaters community off 290, Oakwood is destined to become a third space between work and home. Specially designed to bring together families and friends, it will provide an unmatched experience in togetherness.
“Love people through hospitality and forever pursue the goal of building community through sustenance and social gathering. That is Oakwood’s mission,” says Sutherland.
