Guided by a philosophy of “omakase for everyone,” Tancho Sushi simplifies the omakase sushi experience with four thoughtfully curated preset menus, including The Omakase, The Grand Omakase, The Light Omakase, and The Roll Omakase.
“We’re here to make sushi approachable for Austinites while honoring the integrity of this cuisine. We keep the focus on the ingredients. By stripping away unnecessary flourishes, we allow the quality of our fish to take center stage,” says Brad Van Otterloo, co-founder of Tancho Sushi. Tancho’s dedication to craftsmanship is evident in its house-made soy sauce and ponzu, as well as its signature open-hand rolls.
The restaurant has a laid-back vibe and whether at the sushi bar or a table, reservations aren’t required. Tancho is also well-stocked with to-go boxes because their omakase is great for takeout or delivery for an at-home date night, or a night you feel like sushi, but don’t want to go out.
