“First I drink the coffee; then I do the things.” Google coffee addiction and you’ll find memes, mugs, T-shirts and much more proclaiming our attachment to the little, lovely caffeinated black bean.
Tami Canaday, owner and founder of Wagon Coffee decided to marry our cultural love of coffee to the life-saving work of addiction recovery. She is a recovery advocate and loved one of an addict, supporting her husband through his own journey of recovery. In 2018, with 8-plus years sober, Tami and Ryan launched the non-profit FREE to support healing and spiritual connection for recovering addicts.
Wagon Coffee was founded in 2020, just as the pandemic dramatically increased the use of alcohol among women and the critical need for assistance swelled. 90 percent of recovering addicts drink coffee and the name comes from “being on the wagon."
Their coffee is 100 percent sustainably and ethically sourced and environmentally friendly. Available in whole bean or ground, they offer different varietals as well as monthly subscriptions.
