Celebrating Treasure Valley Pets (and Their Humans)

Man’s Best—and oldest—Friend

What would we do without our four-legged companions? They are both playmates and protectors - friends and guardians. In fact, researchers measured the neural activity in the dogs’ caudate nuclei, a section of the brain dubbed “the neural basis of romantic love.” The caudate area was activated more by the owners’ scents than anybody else’s, even that of the dogs’ handlers. Dogs don’t just recognize their owners; they love them. And we so love our dogs. Here are a few Treasure Valley dogs (and their humans) enjoying their families and the outdoors.
