Brent Thomas Renovations makes a house feel like a custom home.

Home renovations are more than just aesthetics; they transform lives by reimagining spaces. Brent Thomas Renovations was founded by Mason resident Brent Crank in 2010, focusing on custom woodwork, great communication, cleanliness and navigating clients through the often intimidating world of remodeling.

One local family’s renovation journey with Brent Thomas Renovations began in the summer of 2020, with their office, powder room, laundry room and mudroom. The powder room underwent a significant transformation, involving structural changes, plumbing and electrical work. Bespoke woodworking pieces made by Brent Thomas Renovations’ in-house team included a desk for their four kids and built-ins for the office, adding personalized and functional touches to the space.

“With four young children we had specific ideas for the mudroom and laundry room that would make our lives easier and more organized,” explains homeowner Carrie. “Brent Thomas Renovations met our ideas head-on and went above and beyond with the design and custom work. They were exceptional with communication throughout the process.”

“Construction is an interruption,” says Brent, “so we set out to ensure we can complete our proposed work within budget and in the timeframe we establish. Our goal is to lift the veil and eliminate any potential pitfalls that too often plague our industry.”

Due to the overwhelming success of the first project, Brent Thomas Renovations was hired by the same family in 2021 to tackle the primary suite bathroom. This was one of their most extensive renovations to date. The entirety of the bathroom and closet were gutted to allow for a complete redesign. Standout features include a shower with body sprays, a standalone tub and a custom closet system.

Brent explains, “We work with each client through the spatial design to ensure what we are quoting is exactly what they want. Once we agree to work together, a project date is established on our schedule and we begin to tweak the design and selection process. This ensures that by day one of construction, we have all items selected and ready to go.”

“The design team was amazing to work with, allowing us to visualize spaces and make changes,” shares Carrie.

The summer of 2022 marked the completion of the first-floor transformation. This phase involved a comprehensive renovation of the kitchen, dining room, sitting room and living room. All cabinetry was meticulously designed and built by the Brent Thomas Renovations woodworking team, showcasing their dedication to craftsmanship. A special highlight was a custom hutch and table designed and built for the homeowners, adding a unique and personal touch to the living space.

“They created the most functional living areas with beautiful, custom design touches,” enthuses Carrie. “The team takes pride in their work and you can see it in all of the rooms and pieces they created.”

“We love seeing the change we can affect,” says Brent. “Also getting to work with the talented individuals on our team is an absolute pleasure.”

Brent Thomas Renovations has not only revitalized the living spaces of this home, but also created a positive and personalized experience for the homeowners. The commitment to overcoming challenges, the emphasis on planning and the unique addition of an in-house woodworking division distinguish Brent Thomas Renovations as a local leader in the world of home renovations.
