“Everybody does a bit of everything here,” Kelly says. “From assembly to sales. Berlin Gardens is our best-selling brand because it’s well-made, heavy furniture. It’s good in the Nebraska wind!”
The pandemic played a major role in Kelly’s decision to buy the business—and in shaping how people use their outdoor spaces today. Backyards became gathering places, dining rooms, and mini vacation spots. That trend hasn’t faded. “The pandemic was huge for this kind of business,” Kelly explains. “It really boomed during that time. Outdoor dining is doing well today. The deep-seat cushions are popular with older folks or those with kids at home. The younger crowd often looks for more durable or contemporary styles.”
