Paige Unfolded: The Story Behind the Denim

Paige Adams-Geller, Founder and Creative Director of PAIGE, details her fashion journey and bringing the brand to Music City.

Paige Adams-Geller is the Founder and Creative Director of international fashion brand, PAIGE. As a former top model, the entrepreneur was determined to create something of her own to empower men and women around the globe. In 2004, her dreams came true when she launched the first collection of PAIGE.

Growing up in a small town in Alaska, Paige found herself spending most of her childhood winters lost in books and magazines - completely in awe of the latest fashion and clothing trends. Taking her love for fashion to the next level, she began her first modeling job for Nordstrom at only fifteen years old. Less than a year later, she won a modeling competition that led her to New York City upon her high school graduation.

"While the city was exciting, it wasn't without its challenges - including a lot of *mistreatment and harassment in the workplace* that made it clear I needed change," Paige shares. “I moved to Southern California, attended USC, and majored in Communications with a focus on Broadcast Journalism… but life had other plans! I ended up modeling, singing, acting, and even started a country-pop band called Rodeo Girls.”

Earning her title as the most requested fit model for clothing brands in California, Paige’s love for design only continued to grow stronger. After many years in the entertainment industry, and through her experience with misconduct and sexual assault, she knew it was time to make a change in her career path. After confronting her attacker and finding her voice, she felt inspired to follow her true purpose and passion. Thus, PAIGE was born.

“I wanted to build a clothing brand that would offer a safe, empowering work environment for both men and women,” Paige shares. “My time spent in the fashion industry made me realize that women’s clothing, especially denim, often did not reflect the true needs of our bodies. I was driven to offer a new perspective on fit and comfort, one that embraces the diversity of women’s shapes and ensures every piece feels as good as it looks.”

With the goal of creating a denim line that prioritized fit, fabric, and finish with a fresh, female perspective, Paige built an empire that exceeded her expectations. Designed to flatter all body types, the brand has grown far beyond denim, opening twenty-six retail stores - including two in the United Kingdom - and continues to thrive and help build the confidence of men and women everywhere. In 2023, PAIGE officially opened in Music City, debuting their storefront on 12th South. Nashville has always remained a special place to Paige; From her love of music to her background as a singer, she adores the magic of this city.

“I think the aesthetic of PAIGE pairs perfectly with Nashville – laid-back, effortless, and comfortable, but with a slight edge,” Paige shares. “Opening our Nashville store was a huge milestone for the brand and solidified our position as a sought-after destination for contemporary wardrobe essentials. Plus, I’ve always had a bit of rock n’ roll alter ego, so I was beyond excited to bring that energy to our Nashville store.”

In addition to their functionality, PAIGE is focused on sustainability. Partnering with Blue Jeans Go Green™ to recycle denim and reduce textile waste, PAIGE encourages folks to bring a pair of pre-loved denim to any of their stores to recycle in exchange for 20% off your next pair of PAIGE jeans! Blending modern Bohemian with Parisian chic, PAIGE thrives on balance; While best known for their denim, the brand has expanded both the men’s and women’s collections to include everything from sweaters and tees to shoes and belts.

“The support of the Nashville community means everything to us,” Paige explains. “With its vibrant and exciting energy, it's the perfect place to be. I’m honored that PAIGE has not only stood the test of time but continues to grow stronger after 20 years. I hope to keep inspiring women around the world to reach their full potential, pursue their dreams, and give back to their communities.”
