Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) invites all county middle schools to join the third annual ‘Paint the Plow’ contest. Schools must register online by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12, to decorate a snowplow focused on Road Safety. MCDOT free participation and paint supplies for this creative endeavor. Winners receive cash prizes for their schools: $500 first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third. These artistic creations will be displayed at the MCDOT Truck Day event on Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MCDOT Truck Depot and Salt Barn in Rockville, marking the beginning of National Public Works Week and will be utilized during Winter storms.
