I come from a long line of strong, spirited women on both my mom’s and dad’s sides—women who were (and are) resilient, spicy, and refuse to be quieted. Their stories are filled with courage, grit, and determination— despite the limitations placed on them as women. My mom, my grandmothers, and the women before them, led with both grit and grace—overcoming obstacles with determination while nurturing their families with a deep, steady love. They showed that strength and softness can coexist, building lives rooted in resilience and courage without ever losing their warmth. They give me the freedom and responsibility to be an artist.  When I paint, I am honoring their strength, their sacrifices, and the fire they carried. That same spirit and spiciness lives on in my daughter—a reflection of the women who came before her—and I am deeply inspired to nurture it in her. Through my work, I hope to show her what it means to be both strong and expressive, grounded yet daring. In every brushstroke, I carry the legacy of the women who shaped me, and I paint not only to remember them, but to inspire the generations after me.”

I am a native Texan and a multi-disciplinary artist based in the Texas Hill Country. I work primarily in painting, with elements of embroidery, drawing inspiration from my ancestry, cultural roots, and the familiar spirit of the American West. As a former interior designer and mother of five, I returned to my lifelong passion for painting after the birth of my fifth child—my only daughter—embracing it as both a calling and a grounding force. My work blends memory and heritage with a sense of playfulness, creating layered compositions that reflect both where I come from and who I am today.
