Partnerships Making Beer Better

From the Earth Brewing Company finds local farmers to share the experience

New year, new beer and new partnerships. Tim Stevens owns From the Earth Brewing Company and is working hard to make beautiful beer and find local businesses to support.

MT: What seasonal pours will be on tap in January and February, and what makes them special?

TS: We will be pouring the following seasonal beers in January: Cosmonaut 9.4% Imperial Stout, Apple Bottom 6.4% Cider, Africa 5.4% Pale Ale using South African hops, along with our other 8-10 FTE beers.

MT: Tell us about your relationship with Martins Gardens. How did the farm come on your radar and why are you excited about sending your spent grain back to their farm and partnering with them to grow produce for your menu?

TS: I was introduced to Martins Gardens by a chef friend as we opened FTE. I then met the owners and became quick friends! I love that we get to partner with a quality farm so close to us! We love the fact that they are using our spent grain to better the quality of the product!

MT: What will feature on your menu in January? Hummus, salmon dip, FTE plate, pork loin, duck, lamb, salmon, Vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options all sound amazing. What are the stand-outs?

TS: I really enjoy all our offerings, but the duck and the lamb are my favorites on our current menu. Remember that our menu changes with the seasons, so our items will change seasonally.

MT: Tell us about how you and your employees will celebrate the new year?

TS: We always have a fun NYE celebration at the restaurant and a holiday party after the first of the year. We will also plan on doing team-building outside of the restaurant. Our team is like family, so we like to treat them as such! Let me introduce you to our crew.

General Manager/Brewmaster – Brian Lee

Assistant GM - Austin Clark

Chef – Joey Stallings

Sous Chef – Nelson Gutierrez

MT: Do you do any community give-back?

TS: Giving back to the community is a top priority! That’s one of the main reasons we picked East Roswell, as we live there and wanted to give back to the community that supports us. Some of what we do includes feeding those in need a Christmas Eve dinner. We are also currently supporting the EJ Community Foundation with their Holiday Giving Program, which provides gifts for over 70 local children. We worked with The School Meal Program to feed students during the COVID shutdown, and we are proud to support the local schools with “Give Back Tuesdays”, where we give a percentage of sales back to the schools. We hosted a teacher appreciation event this past summer to recognize them for a job well done during a very difficult year due to the pandemic.
