It started as many meaningful transformations do, with a simple decision: it was time for a change.
After 21 years in her home, Alice wasn’t just looking for an upgrade—she was ready to create something that finally felt like her own. The finishes in the home were original, chosen long ago and Alice wanted to create a space that felt more personal. For a few years, she and her late husband had talked about remodeling the bathroom. Life, as it often does, moved forward before the project ever began.
Then, earlier this year, something shifted.
After hearing a local radio ad and later seeing DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Reno featured on Channel 2’s Plus You Nevada (highlighting a philanthropy project for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9211), Alice made a decision. She chose a team that could handle everything from start to finish.
From the start, the vision was clear: a space that felt modern and deeply personal—something that moved beyond the standard “production home” aesthetic into a design that was unique and designed for comfort and intention.
The existing layout presented limitations. Built on a slab subfloor, plumbing changes were restricted and limited, requiring the design team to work creatively within the existing footprint. But rather than a setback, it became an opportunity to refine the details that would matter most.
The design direction centered around a warm, neutral palette that was elegant and coordinated to flow with the rest of the home’s interior. Standout features like a Taj Mahal herringbone mosaic that highlights the vanity and shower walls brings so much life to this space. But the true transformation extended beyond just the aesthetics.
The newly enlarged shower—complete with a fold-down bench and updated plumbing fixtures—was designed with longevity and daily function in mind. It’s a space that doesn’t just look beautiful, but supports ease, comfort, and independence for years to come. For Alice, the reveal was more than visual.
“Every day, there was something new to look at,” she shares. “I was amazed. The cabinetry especially—it changed everything. I was hesitant to use it at first. I just wanted to admire it.”
Her home feels different now. “It just feels refreshed and happy,” she says. “It has given new life to a home already well loved.”
That feeling of this transformation carries a deeper emotional layer. Throughout the process, Alice often reflected on the one person who wasn’t there to see it.

In many ways, the space holds that story—past, present, and future. It represents memories created, a renewed love for her home today, and excitement for what comes next.
When asked what the team hopes people feel stepping into the finished space, the answer is simple: “A place where function and form merge beautifully.”
It’s a balance that, in this case, has clearly been achieved.
In fact, before the final details of the master bathroom were even complete, Alice made another decision—signing on to remodel her guest bathroom next, with work set to begin in October 2026.
