April heralds the oh-so-wonderful patio weather we all crave, and Bellini's in Oklahoma City has one of the prettiest patios around. With its open atmosphere that overlooks the lawn and water feature at The Waterford, the Bellini's patio is the perfect spot for Sunday brunch, happy hour with coworkers or just a leisurely relaxed afternoon with friends.
Bellini's, a popular Italian eatery made famous by Tommy Byrd, is famous for its crafted foods, but also for its signature cocktails. In fact, according to General Manager Shawnna Mayne, Bellini's has 12 signature cocktails that include seasonal offerings.
"There's something for everyone, ranging from sweet to dry. Every cocktail is developed by a team member here at Bellini's," she said. "We are famous for our frozen Bellini, of course, but we have some great cocktails you should try."
If you're already a fan of the Bellini's patio, then you'll be thrilled to know that some upgrades are coming. Wind block panels are being installed to help tame those sometimes fierce Oklahoma winds.
"April is a very popular time for our patio," Shawnna said. "We are always packed on nice days. But the wind panels will partially enclose the patio to help block the wind."
Bellini's is still maintaining its social distancing measures by placing partitions at each table for added protection. But it's the patio that really draws people when the weather starts warming up... even for weddings!
"We've had receptions and small weddings of 50 people or less on our patio," Shawnna said. "Some people do the whole wedding and reception out there, and it turns out really pretty and nice."
Shawnna shared her recipes for three of the popular spring cocktails from Bellini's. And, yes, you can make these at home, but why not check out Bellini's patio for some open, fresh outdoor time!
The Flamingo
2 ounces Malibu Rum
1 ounce pineapple juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce grenadine
Put all the ingredients into a shaker and vigorously mix. Pour into a chilled martini glass.
"It comes out looking just like a flamingo," said Shawnna. "It's really delicious."

St. Germaine Cherry Spritzer

Located at 6305 Waterford Blvd, Suite 100, Bellini's offers dine-in, patio seating and curbside service. The staff completes a health screen before every shift and wears masks at all times. As before, the staff continues to sanitize every surface after every use.
