Patriotic Porches

Tips and tricks for decorating your porch that will keep your home looking patriotic from Memorial Day through Labor Day

Our front porch is the face of our home. It’s the first thing visitors see when they enter your house, it's the first impression of your neighbors as they walk or drive by. The Porch is an extension of your home and how you decorate it says alot about who you are.

We spend a lot of time on our porches in the evening once the heat of the day starts to fade away and the sun starts to set creating stunning pink and orange swirls across our skies. Grabbing a cold lemonade and listening to our favorite music is the best way to end a stressful summer afternoon.

In the south porch decoration is a tradition they take very seriously. Lazy porch swings, and classic rocking chairs are all staples of a great southern porch. The next step of a great porch is cute pillows to show your own personality. Bright pillows, vintage pillows, floral pillows all reveal something about who you are.

Decorating a porch is the best way to make a great impression on your block but also the best sunset watching spot in town.

With Fourth of July just around the corner, we wanted to inspire you to create a contemporary patriotic porch to show your love for America in style.  We’ve included some great tips and ideas to help you put together your own patriotic porch for the holiday season.

Photo two: These stools are a great way to relax your feet after a long day. You can also use them as a side table to put your drink on! You’ll want to keep in mind these stools will be kept outside and need to weather the elements. Wicker is a great choice for waterproof porch furniture.

Photo three: Decorative plants give life to your porch. If you have a green thumb you can plant colorful flowering plants. Geranium is a popular flowering plant that blooms in red and white to correspond with the patriotic theme of your porch.
