Boutique Interior Designs for Your Home

Patty Lacourte has created residential and commercial interior designs for the tri-state area for over 25 years. She earned her degree from the Henri Matisse School of Interior Design in Peru. Patty’s inspiration, in part, is due to her worldwide travels to places such as London, Paris, Berlin, Prague, and Tokyo. As a result, her passion is to bring a global perspective to her work.

Patty strives to create beautiful, timeless décors that are meant to be lived in and enjoyed, bringing comfort, sophistication, and practicality to your personal style. She offers complete interior design services and “in-home” shopping to help you choose the right upholstery, wallpaper, lighting, and accessories. Finally, her curated collections help you find pieces that make your home feel complete.

Sometimes, a client wants a full-blown kitchen design, and sometimes they want to freshen up the lobby of their boutique hotel. Before starting any interior design project, Patty asks her client what their objective is for their space: do they want a sleek, modern appeal or a place to entertain their guests while still having a functional space?

Patty prides herself on genuinely walking her clients through the entire design process and being there every step of the way. After all, the clients should love it!

This month, Patty graciously shares some beautiful images of past projects along with an expert glimpse of the current trends in home design.

LIVING ROOM

I find that mixing family heirlooms, such as the coffee table in this living room, is an essential part of decorating. The warm blue on the walls is softened by the custom window treatments which define the space. The beautiful artwork helps to set the tone with a surprise pop of color. Using throw pillows in various colors and patterns on the couch and chairs gives an updated and exciting look.

DINING ROOM

This dining room project began with the client’s console table. Using deep blue grasscloth wallpaper with white wainscoting defines this space. The custom upholstered head chairs in the blue and white fabric, along with the soft blue and gray rug, warms up the room. The dark mahogany table with the white side chairs gives a rich and inviting look.

OFFICE

Working from home sometimes needs a fresh new look. In this case, it was working with the client’s existing furniture. We used soft tones in the wallpaper and custom window treatments to keep this space simple and clean. The addition of a modern hanging light fixture and shapely guest chair gives the room a bit of interest.

POWDER ROOM

This small powder room was made to look much larger by incorporating a clean, white palette in the tile, wainscoting, trim, and custom window treatment. Accenting the starkness of the white with a deep blue grasscloth on the walls gives it a classic, timeless look. The gold mirror and wall sconces finish off this room beautifully.
