Among many things, the city of Denver is known for its love for local coffee shops and having a community full of furry companions.
As a way to do their part in helping shelters find animals their forever homes, Doug and Saadia Naiman, co-owners of Aviano Coffee in Cherry Creek, and Stuart Crowell and Delroy Gill of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, are bringing together coffee and community, but with a twist: a doggy fashion show where you can enjoy drinks while watching pups with their owners strut their stuff on the catwalk.
“The event is a community charity event designed to be a fun and lighthearted local pet and owner fashion show aimed at benefiting MaxFund,” says Doug Naiman. “We believe this is a cause that everyone can get behind.”
"We believe this will be a really fun and engaging way to bring out the community of Cherry Creek in a setting that everyone can appreciate," says Crowell. "After all, we all love our pets, so why not combine a chance to give back with a chance to have a fresh new community event."
Supporting a no-kill shelter such as MaxFun hits close to the hearts of the Cherry Creek community as well as the staff at Aviano and Sotheby’s - a community that is already brought together by their love for specialty coffee.
“This event is important to us because of our, along with our community’s love of animals,” says Saadia Naiman. “Aviano Coffee strongly supports no-kill animal shelters and animal adoption centers. As a community member serving as a community hub, we believe we’re well-positioned to influence and support a local cause with the ability to foster and encourage increased support for MaxFund, a true no-kill animal adoption center.”
“In Cherry Creek, our pets are part of our community as well,” says Doug Naiman. “They are our most loved loyal companions and friends. Our staff, but especially our customers, love their pets. We’re proud of them. We want to show them off. Let’s have a little fun while at the same time raising awareness and money for less fortunate animals in need of rescue.”
