Local kids’ boutique Pen + Nash Co. was founded with the artistic eye of a stylist and passionate heart of a mama. Owner Janelle Precour’s charming shop is filled with quality clothing in classic styles for babies, kids and moms at surprisingly affordable prices.
The beautifully curated collection includes locally sourced fashion, toys and books that spark imagination and head-to-toe accessories to help greet each childhood milestone with style and comfort.
“We go from belly to baby to youth sizes,” Janelle explains. “Our customers enjoy our gender-neutral options and timeless pieces. We offer good quality, organic items that last.”
Janelle, who started her career in corporate retail, was inspired to launch the business by her own children, daughter Penelope and son Nash, the shop’s namesakes. Pen + Nash Co. started online in 2020, then opened the doors to the brick-and-mortar storefront at Liberty Center in 2021.
Six-year-old Penelope is a budding entrepreneur that enjoys choosing styles alongside her mom. Little brother Nash is a rambunctious 3½ year old that puts toys and pants’ knees to the test.
“Penelope likes to choose dresses and accessories,” says Janelle. “Nash is definitely our toy tester,” she adds.
Pen + Nash Co. is more than a shopping spot; it’s a supportive community.
“Our store is a good place to go to feel supported, loved and celebrated all around,” says Janelle. “It’s a fun community of moms supporting moms.”
