Open nearly 15 years, Lakeside Bar & Grill (LakesideBarandGrillAZ.com) has become a neighborhood favorite for Northwest Valley folks. The establishment opened in 2008, hoping to provide residents in the area with a meeting spot serving good food and drink.
The family-friendly restaurant and sports bar features two dog-friendly patios, daily happy hour, live music and wall-to-wall TVs to catch all the games, including NFL Sunday Ticket. Lakeside is known for delicious flame-grilled burgers, local brews and handcrafted American-Southwest lunch and dinner. There is also a favorite Sunday breakfast menu.
Staff Favorites
Director of Operations, Janeth Moore, loves the fajitas. “They arrive sizzling at the table, and I always get the three-item combo of chicken, steak and shrimp with a Lakeside Margarita, which is simply the best.”
General Manager, Thomas Thome, usually starts his meal with some wings in desert heat sauce, followed by one of their fabulous half-pound burgers. “Usually, it’s a toss-up between the Arizona Burger with house-made jalapeño jam or the Black & Blue Burger with bacon, blue cheese crumbles and grilled onions. I enjoy a seasonal rotating draft beer from our local craft brews selection.”
If burgers and wings aren’t your thing, there is also an “All You Can Eat Friday Fish Fry,” salads, sandwiches, full-size entrees and a kid’s menu for the younger customers.
A Local Tradition
The restaurant group that owns Lakeside, POV Foods, owns and operates several other Arizona spots, including 32 Shea, Rusty Spur Saloon, Red, White and Brew and Bill’s Grill in Prescott.
Lakeside touts itself as a must-visit spot for locals. “We’ve been the Northwest Valley’s neighborhood anchor for years,” says Moore. “While we aren’t right near the Lake, our name is a nod to Lake Pleasant. The local clientele gets it. We were one of the first businesses at the Four Corners, and we are excited to see the continued growth and development of the area.”

Lakeside Bar & Grill is at 9980 W. Happy Valley Pkwy in Peoria. It is open Sunday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
