Pink Row

Fayetteville’s quintessential pink paradise, located on North College Avenue

N. College Ave is home to a vibrant pink paradise that encompasses a trio of treats, trinkets, and terrariums. The businesses -- Presley Paige, pinkHouse Alchemy, and Pink Fern -- are women-owned with stories that inspire locals and visitors alike.

The first stop is Presley Paige, a specialty paper, party, and gift shop owned by Maggie Owens. “I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t want to own a store", she states. As a preteen, she watched a woman in her community open a retail shop, which sparked a dream of being a female business owner herself. Little did she know, this would become reality in 2020. Maggie describes Presley Paige as experiential. Her team is composed of girls with grit, artistic abilities, and out-of-the-box ideas. Each year, they prepare for “Pinkmas”, a holiday extravaganza that is anticipated for months. Maggie hopes to curate experiences that inspire others.

Next up, pinkHouse Alchemy, a small-batch simple syrup shop founded by Emily Lawson. Back in 2012, Emily decided to concoct syrup with lavender from the Fayetteville farmer’s market. At the time, she lived in a 100-year-old pink house. Thus, pinkHouse was born! While the brand has achieved international recognition, each syrup is still handcrafted in Fayetteville as pinkHouse collaborates closely with local farmers, creating flavors inspired by the Ozarks. Emily wants people to walk into the space and know that it is safe and inclusive, with high-quality products. From cocktails to coffee, baked goods to bottled syrups, pinkHouse invites you to make yourself at home.

We complete the trio with Pink Fern, a plant-owner’s paradise. Lindsey Neely was inspired by her mom’s eye for art and love of estate sales. Lindsey loves the thrill of the hunt when finding plants and pieces to hold them. She combines unique plants with second-hand finds for a one-of-a-kind experience. She says that “everywhere you turn there's something to pique your interest.” Her mission is to reinforce the importance of shopping small, and she invites you to the grand opening on May 11th to check out the space.

Fayetteville is lucky to have these women-owned shops to impact the community and beyond. Their unique flair, touching stories, and kind employees make for an exceptional shopping experience, all while showing young girls how to dream big. Pay “Pink Row” a visit to support locally, and leave feeling inspired.

“I hope to plant little seeds to women of all ages to follow their dreams.” - Maggie Owens, Presley Paige
