So Far

We’ve come so far together, but I've got so far to go

There are things I've yet to go through that You already know

I've been through peaks and valleys, but have not yet seen the top

You remind me that I will get there if I keep faith and refuse to stop

The cards may be stacked against me, but You are stacked against the cards

Your provision was established before me, before my journey even starts

But I have to be bold and courageous and look adversity in the eye

There are so many excuses that could be made - so many reasons not to try

But in You, there is only victory when paired with the will to win

You put purpose in all existence and reveal it to the hearts of men

You reveal Your truth to me, though there are many things I do not know

We've come so far together, but I've got so far to go.

Beyond the Foundation

This is beyond the foundation

Elevation

Another level

Of battling the devil

Of pedal to the metal

Of learning and earning

This is beyond the foundation

That has already been laid

By the soldiers before us who braved

Circumstances that required improvement

Like ours today

And they made a way

For us to build past the foundation

And go beyond

And individually I have been the victim of my own limitations

Until I realized they are not limitations

They are factors in these equations

And I must find a way to win

Utilize chess moves for the master men

Deliberately embody the balanced master blend

To build on what you’ve been through

To another level
